WORKING THROUGH SUBTLE POWER

Conscious Leadership Training in Complexity for Women – Trauma Transformation in Communities in Areas of Crisis

The course offers a space where women can explore their unique female strength and being, their vulnerability, their ability to ground themselves in their individual purpose and their community with others around you.  As a group, we find gentle powerful ways to host and integrate the individual and the collective traumatic imprint of the past within each participant with the support of everyone participating.

Course Description for Conscious Leadership in Complexity for Women

The course offers a space where women can explore their unique female strength and being, their vulnerability, their ability to ground themselves in their individual purpose and their community with others around you.  As a group, we find gentle powerful ways to host and integrate the individual and the collective traumatic imprint of the past within each participant with the support of everyone participating.

We work with simple mystical principles of how energy works in us and strives to lead us in a bigger sense of being and the conscious growing of our souls. We explore the power of deep listening into our four bodies (physical, mental, emotional and energetic bodies). In each of us, there is an ever changing and unique imprint of movement and holding waiting to be consciously felt and expressed, as part of our spiritual path. Women participating learn to hear and to navigate that path, helping recover from trauma and improve communication capacity.

Heike Wegener, GEN Ambassador and Consultant, will serve as the primary project partner. Heike Wegener lives in the Schloss Glarisegg Community at the Lake of Constance in Switzerland. As an Osteopath, a trauma-therapist with a systemical approach, a dancer, mother, musician and singer, she has explored the mystical beauty of the soul-language in our bodies for over 25 years. As well as working intensively with individuals all ages she's drawn to the potential for light and love through new collective spaces. Her life is an invitation to awakened moments in movement, stillness and beauty, with deep joy in listening. She began this work in Palestine from a deep calling to support women in deep trauma situations, and as a trained ecovillage design educator and ecovillage champion, she sees a natural synergy to mesh the trainings in benefit to not only the women that need transformation, but also for communities suffering from ecological degradation and deep poverty and inequity.

Mena Vieira, GEN Ambassador, lives in Portugal and has been part of the Global Ecovillage Network for more than 3 years in both direct and indirect capacities. Much of that work has been in project management for programs designed for women’s empowerment, as GEN’s River of Life coordinator and now an independent consultant focusing on the Fertile Crescent and the many injustices and traumas that lie within. Mena is deeply connected with the earth and an international networking artist. She co-works with Heike in Palestine and Namibia.

Visolela Rosa Namises, GEN Africa and Europe Ambassador and member of its advisory board, lives in Windhoek. She is a former first member of Parliament 1999-2005 and again in 2010-12 a founding member and former secretary-general of the Namibia Congress of Democrats (CoD). She spoke up against the torture of South West African People Organisation (SWAPO) members in exile through breaking the Wall of Silence (BWS), an organisation for former SWAPO detainees of which she was a founding member and chairperson. She is passionately known as a national and international social, gender equality and human rights activist. Visolela is also founding member of Women’s Solidarity Namibia in 1989 and works there as the current director as well as at the Dolam Residential Child Care Home, a home she started for vulnerable children. Visolela Rosa Namises carries a lot of knowledge of traditional and herbal medicine of her Dhamara Culture. In 2016 she initiated the pilot vegetable garden project, which includes traditional arts/ medicine; a place for healthy peaceful living and a role model of sustainable development for the rural community. Her heart beats for healing in a holistic way. She co-works with Heike in Namibia.
